B7

Featured in the MICHELIN Guide 2025 and crowned with “A Special Award for the Best Short Wine List in the Baltics! Excellent for Champagne, Classics & New School winemakers!” at the Baltic Wine & Drinks Awards 2024, B7 is a cozy brasserie tucked away on quiet Ausekļa Street – one of those rare spots that makes you want to return again and again.

Here, chef, owner, and sommelier Valters Zirdziņš cooks, pours, and hosts with ease, creating the kind of restaurant he himself loves to visit. Sharing a few plates (or choosing the tasting menu) is the best way to taste Valters’ world of playful precision.

The wine list at B7 is compact but personal, built around the wines Valters loves himself. It features grower Champagnes at its heart, alongside soulful European whites and reds from producers who work close to the land. Every bottle is chosen for its balance, energy, and drinkability, with plenty of great wines served by the glass.

At B7, less truly is more – a few seats, a few dishes, a few wines – and somehow, everything you need!

B7 recommends: D. Leclapart & A. Muchada UNIVERS 2022.

Our choice: There’s this one particular Champagne we feel goes super well with Valters Zirdziņš’ cuisine... we’ve tried on numerous occasions... it always delivers! You won’t be disappointed with the inimitable 2005 La Lutétienne Brut Nature by Tarlant! Crazy good!
